About Me

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 12, when I bought my first camera from my dad for a daunting $150. Over the years, my love of photography evolved into a profession, and today, I’m lucky enough to be one of those people who does what she loves and loves what she does. And what I do through my photography is showcase connections.

I believe in doing good works through community involvement, so I happily contribute my time, energy and expertise to several Central Texas nonprofits, including:

  • Love-A-Bull – Love-A-Bull works to improve the image and lives of pit-bull-type dogs through advocacy, education, rescue and responsible guardianship.

I believe nonprofit organizations like this are manifestations of the best in ourselves, and I relish the opportunity to highlight positivity in our world.

I am a Certified Professional Photographer [CPP] with Professional Photographers of America. The certification is a rigorous examination of a photographer’s experience, consistency, technical skills, unique artistry and professionalism. I’m proud to have achieved it – click here to learn more about it.
My work illustrates connections between people, between people and animals, between great organizations and their communities. Connections of the body, the spirit and, naturally, connections of the heart. My images are strong, simple and natural. They evoke emotion and an unmistakable authenticity. My approach is subtle – one of my key strengths is my ability to tune into the ‘vibe’ of my subjects or the occasion, patiently watch what develops, and catch the perfect moments.
